34 weeks pregnant and very dark brown bleeding?

okay so Ive been experincing dark brown bleeding with clot like things coming out.. this has been happening the last 2 days.. I went to the hospital yesterday and they hooked me up to the fetal moniter. Baby was doing great. I was contracting about every 5 to 6 mins. But i wasnt dialted. Doctor checked me and said baby is very very low. But they said it was fine since it wasnt red blood.. the bleeding had stoped at about the time i was going to bed.. and now i went to the bathroom and it was dark brown and clotty and all in my pants and on my leg. I cant go back to the hospital bd aint home. And they told me not to worry about it bc it wasnt bright red.. Has this happened to anyone? I dont know what i should do. I did my kick counts and he is moving fine and checked his heart beat and his heart beat is 126-128 bpm. Im very worried and need to ease my mind. I thought i could be losing my mucous plug but everyone i have talked to said it shouldnt be that dark. Thanks for any advice
