Would a chicken bone bend or not bend when it has been soaked in distilled water?

Will a chicken bone bend or not bend when it is soaked in distilled water for 24 hours opposed to it being soaked in HCl? Like, if it was in HCl would it be hard and snap when I try bend it or the total opposite.
