How can I use this opportunity ?

My father in law has a restaurante located inside a Best Western hotel. He has 3 banquet rooms that can be opened up to be 1 large room Approx size of a gym, or can be sectioned into 3 conference rooms. There is a bar in the hotel, withing 100 ft of restaurant and an indoor pool. My question is for any ideas on events or happenings that I could plan to use this space thats available to me whenever he doesnt have the rooms booked for something else. He wouldnt charge me anything and would supply food or coffee if needed. So far I'v thought of an Art show or craft fair. Any other ideas? thanks, and if your near the Upstate Ny area, maybe you can help me put an event together.
