Should congressional leaders meet with the leaders of hostile nations against the wishes of the President?

I am thoroughly disgusted with Nancy Pelosi's conduct in Syria - a terrorist nation. I'm no Bush supporter (in fact, anything but), but I do believe that the US needs to have a consistent foreign policy set by the President. Bush will be gone soon - are we going to see Republicans trotting off to some enemy capital to score political points against the new President? Shame on you, Pelosi, you partisan hag!
