Why are there so many errors in the Death Note rules?

You got to know that the general population of japan has VERY BAD english, and i'm not exaggerating, They would pronounce vegetable oil vestabule oi and thank you sanku. The rules on the death note are not translated, the author put the english on there himself, so of course it's not perfect but he did a good job. I wish he didn't call them Death god though, should've called them reapers or death or something.
