Again, another pregnancy question?

I am near 28 weeks pregnant. This morning I had a very sharp pain above my belly on. It hurt. It felt like my insides were being smashed together, but in an even painfull way. I have felt the baby kick, and that pain was about 8 hours ago and has not happened again. Is this a sign of early labor or false labor?
