How can Jon Stewart be a moderate and a liberal at the same time?

Nothing against him, but if he actually was a moderate, shouldn't liberals have more of a problem with his "moderate" rally? If liberals embrace the moderate label, and they get along and appear to be interchangeable with moderates, then you really can't blame the right-wing that they're skeptical of people who consider themselves that. I'm thinking an actual moderate would be someone who's reviled by both sides. I'm not a right-winger, and I think a lot of them are way too preoccupied with taking us back to the 50s. I'm not fond of Bush, Fox News, or the people who vy to be leader of the Republican Party, but I think for myself. I guess I'm sort of a maverick, and I'm not really go-along-to-get-along.
